Working Principle of Steam Turbine-Driven Pumps
The principle of steam turbine-driven pumps is to convert the thermal energy of steam into mechanical energy using a steam turbine
Energy Conversion: Steam with a certain pressure and temperature enters the turbine nozzle, expands and accelerates in the nozzle, converting thermal energy into kinetic energy and forming a high-speed steam flow. The high-speed steam flow enters the moving blade channel, pushing the moving blades and the rotor to rotate, converting kinetic energy into mechanical energy.
Driving the Pump: The rotor of the steam turbine is connected to the pump through a coupling, and the mechanical energy generated by the steam turbine is transmitted to the pump, causing the pump's impeller to rotate and thus achieving fluid transportation.

The principle of steam turbine-driven compressors is similar to that of steam turbine-driven pumps. It also utilizes a steam turbine to convert the thermal energy of steam into mechanical energy, driving the compressor impeller to rotate:
